Product definition
Oriveo is a commercial BYOK multi-model AI client for web, iPhone, and Android. It connects to hosted provider APIs and to inference engines running on a computer you control. Oriveo is the client and does not run the model on the phone itself. It is not open source.
Supported providers
Oriveo supports 15 official BYOK providers, plus a custom Relay endpoint and the optional Oriveo Free managed tier.
- OpenAI
- Anthropic
- Google Gemini
- OpenRouter
- DeepSeek
- Grok
- Groq
- Together AI
- Fireworks AI
- MiniMax
- Z.ai
- Qwen
- Kimi
- Mistral
- SiliconFlow
Across these providers Oriveo exposes 500+ models in a single picker. The exact list depends on which providers you connect and on what each provider currently publishes.
Billing and pricing
BYOK usage is billed directly by each provider at its published price. Oriveo does not add a markup to provider token usage. Optional paid Oriveo plans cover software features such as cross-device sync and usage analytics; they do not include provider API usage.
Oriveo shows an estimated cost on every message, calculated from the provider's published token pricing while the answer streams back. That number is an estimate for steering your spending; the amount your provider invoices is the final one.
Oriveo Free and Oriveo AI
Oriveo Free is a managed free tier: a short fixed list of models with quota limits, usable without an API key and without signing in.
Oriveo Free is the no-sign-in route with a daily allowance. Oriveo AI is a separate paid hosted service, and Pro or Lifetime does not include its AI usage or balance. Signed-in accounts currently include 3 Oriveo AI requests each week. Further usage draws down prepaid AI Balance at each model's official list price. Oriveo AI appears as a built-in provider and was introduced in version 1.2.0.
Paid Oriveo plans (Pro and Lifetime) include no AI usage of any kind: no model credits, no Oriveo AI balance, no provider subscription.
Model switching and cross-check
Model switching is sequential. Oriveo does not present side-by-side answers to the same prompt, and never sends one prompt to several models at once.
Cross-check re-runs an answer you already have through one second model that you pick, then displays the original answer and the second opinion together for comparison. It is a sequential second look rather than a parallel query, and only one second model is used per run. The result, with both sources attached, can be saved as a note.
Cross-check runs on a provider you connected with your own API key. It is not available on the Oriveo Free tier.
Request and data paths
- Native iPhone and Android BYOK flows can connect directly to supported providers.
- The web app uses a real-time compatibility endpoint and does not persist BYOK chat content as chat logs.
- Chats are local first. Cloud sync, encrypted backup, Oriveo Free, and knowledge features process only the data needed when enabled.
