Delete your Oriveo account

This page explains how to permanently delete your Oriveo account and associated data, what is removed, what we retain for legal or operational reasons, and how long deletion takes. Oriveo is operated by the Oriveo team; the Google Play developer account is registered to Kenny. For any question about this process, contact [email protected].
How to request deletion
You can request account deletion in three ways. (1) In-app: open Oriveo on iOS, Android, or Web → Settings → Account → Delete Account → confirm with the prompt. The request is processed immediately and you will be signed out across all devices. (2) Web only: visit app.oriveoai.com → sign in → Account → Delete Account. (3) By email: send a request from your registered email address to [email protected] with the subject "Delete My Account". We will verify ownership and complete deletion within 30 days.
What is deleted
Once your deletion request is processed, the following data is permanently removed: account credentials (email, display name, Firebase user ID, linked Google or Apple identity), all conversations and messages stored in cloud sync, all Skills you created or forked, all folders, your Memory entries, your Knowledge Base files and embeddings, your provider configurations and encrypted API keys held in cloud sync, your usage events and budget settings, your custom avatar, your synced device list, and your active Pro entitlement record.
What is retained and why
For legal, security, and operational reasons, a limited set of data is retained after deletion. Anonymized crash and diagnostic logs (collected via Sentry) are kept for up to 90 days, subject to our Sentry plan's retention period, to support stability investigations. Billing records held by our payment processor (Creem) — including invoice number, transaction amount, currency, and timestamps — may be retained by Creem according to applicable tax and financial regulations (typically up to 7 years in many jurisdictions); these records do not include payment card details and are governed by Creem's own privacy policy. Backend audit logs (login timestamps, deletion request timestamps) are retained for up to 30 days for abuse prevention. Backups created by your device locally before deletion are not affected — those remain on your device until you delete them.
How long deletion takes
In-app and web deletion requests are processed immediately. Account credentials and personal data are removed from primary databases within minutes. Cloud-synced files in attachment storage are scheduled for permanent deletion within 30 days. Anonymized analytics records (without personal identifiers) may persist in aggregated form indefinitely. Any deletion request received by email is completed within 30 days. Once a deletion request is submitted it cannot be cancelled or the account recovered. We will send a confirmation email to your registered address within 7 days of completion.
Local data on your device
Account deletion only removes data from Oriveo cloud servers. Local conversations, attachments, API keys (encrypted on-device with platform Keystore), and settings stored on your device remain until you uninstall the app or clear local data manually. To remove local data on Android, go to Settings → Apps → Oriveo → Storage → Clear Data, or simply uninstall the app.
BYOK keys and AI provider data
Oriveo is a Bring-Your-Own-Key (BYOK) client. The API keys you configure for OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, and other providers are encrypted on your device and never transmitted to Oriveo servers. Deleting your Oriveo account does not delete your accounts at those AI providers. To delete data held by a provider, follow that provider's account deletion process directly.
Cancel an active subscription first
If you have an active Oriveo Pro subscription, cancel it before deleting your account. On Web, cancel via the billing portal at app.oriveoai.com. On Android, cancel via Google Play → Subscriptions. On iOS, cancel via Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Account deletion does not automatically cancel an active subscription billed by a third-party store.
