Cross-check needs your own key
Cross-check re-runs an answer you already have through one second model that you pick, then displays the original answer and the second opinion together for comparison — a sequential second look rather than a parallel query, only one second model per run. The result, with both sources attached, can be saved as a note. Cross-check runs on a provider you connected with your own API key and is not available on the Oriveo Free tier.

Zero markup
Usage is deducted at each model’s official list price. Oriveo does not add a second margin on top of it — our margin comes from wholesale rates, not from a surcharge on you.
Managed catalog
9 official brand groups and 30+ managed models. The catalog is maintained centrally, so models are added and retired without an app update — the in-app model picker is always the authoritative list.

AI Balance is prepaid and completely separate from any Pro subscription. It has no expiry mechanism, and it cannot be withdrawn, transferred to another account, or converted back into cash. Top-ups are made inside the app.

Provider coverage follows each provider’s own catalog, so the model list in the app is always the authoritative one.

Do I have to bring my own API key?
No. BYOK is one of three paths. You can start on Oriveo Free without signing in at all, sign in and use Oriveo AI with no key, or connect keys from 15 official providers plus any OpenAI-compatible endpoint through Relay. All three run in the same app and share the same chat history.
Does Oriveo mark up provider prices?
No. With BYOK you pay your provider directly at its published list price; Oriveo never sits on the invoice and adds 0% markup. With Oriveo AI, usage is deducted from your AI Balance at each model’s official list price, with no second markup added on top.
Does a Pro subscription include AI usage?
No. Paid Oriveo plans (Pro and Lifetime) include no AI usage of any kind: no model credits, no Oriveo AI balance, no provider subscription. Pro is a software licence: cloud sync, Usage Insights, budget alerts, and unlimited Skills, folders, and pinned chats. AI usage is either billed by your own provider under BYOK or drawn from AI Balance under Oriveo AI. The two are independent lines.
How do the 3 included weekly requests work, and when do they reset?

Does AI Balance expire? Can it be refunded or withdrawn?
AI Balance has no expiry mechanism: it stays on the account until it is spent. It cannot be withdrawn, transferred to another account, or converted back into cash. Refunds for purchases are handled under our Refund Policy.
Where are my API keys stored?
On your device. Native apps use the iOS Keychain and the Android Keystore; on the web, keys are held in browser storage isolated by the same-origin policy. They are never uploaded to our servers and never logged.
What does Lifetime include?
One payment, no renewals, and every Pro software feature permanently: 20 GB cloud sync at up to 100 MB per file, Usage Insights, budget alerts, provider breakdowns, and unlimited assistants, folders, and pinned chats. Like Pro, it includes no AI usage and no model credits.
Will my chats still be there after I switch phones?
Chats are stored on the device first. With Pro or Lifetime, optional cloud sync carries chats and notes through your account (20 GB) and they reappear once you sign in on the new device. On the Free plan everything stays on the device, so use the manual backup and import it on the new phone before you retire the old one.
Which payment methods are supported?
Web checkout is processed by Creem and displayed in USD. Purchases made inside the iOS and Android apps go through the App Store and Google Play with their own payment methods, and store prices can differ by region.
Can Oriveo answer from my Notion pages?
Yes, through Library. Sign in and connect only the Notion pages you choose. When you use Library, Oriveo finds relevant material and lets the model cite the pages it used. Library is available on every software plan; Pro and Lifetime have a higher monthly allowance.
